The Power of Color

I like color. I mean, I actually love color. In fact, I am completely bemused with color.
I had a home once that oozed color . The pale lemon washed living room led into a deep periwinkle kitchen, that led into a coral ragged dining room, and down a soft lime corridor, past an aqua sponged loo, into a bedroom washed in pale sky blue. There were wall niches full of swimming fish, and the door to the garage turned into a trompe l’oeil french door leading to blossoming garden. The apricot stairwell led upstairs to the lavender guest room and my son’s bedrooms, one a rainforest jungle full of animals and the other a tropical beach with surfers on the waves. The exterior of the home was painted in a soft grey. The day I was painting the exterior windows an island aqua, the neighbour mooched over and stated he was hoping that was my primer coat color. One or two years later when I put the house up for sale , all of the realtors strongly recommended I re-paint all my walls with a subtle neutral color if I ever expected it to sell. I had an offer on it inside days before I had even confirmed my selling price, and it sold. The buyers just loved all of the colors telling me they could not believe how wonderful the house felt, and how upbeat it made them feel.
Color is queen. It’s got a direct affect on our emotional body and our feelings . Our emotional development predates our psychological development. Our hearts come before our minds. Each one of us experiences the vibration of our mothers heart in the womb long before our minds are at work thinking. We are 7 years of age before we start on the journey of psychological development. Previous to that, we are being emotionally blueprinted for life. It seems that when we get on the mind train, the sector of feeling becomes the caboose. Ironically as we are going thru life, it is truly the arena of feeling that’s driving the train. We just are not aware of this most of the time. We’re far too busy thinking, not feeling. It’s just when we start to experience uncomfortable feelings coming up from the depths, repeatedly again , that we return, or not, to the place of our feelings. Our emotional blueprint has made a home in our subconscious, and the mind hasn’t known what to do with this neighbour. At some specific point in our life, if we will be able to actually feel our feelings, we’ve got to invite our concealed feelings over for dinner so we are able to introduce them to the mind, become familiar and integrate them as pals. Then we are able to consciously master our lives.
So what does all this have to do with color? Color is healing. It helps us to feel, and when we feel, we heal. Colors vibrate, and every one has its own unique vibration. The body is also consisting of 7 major energy centers called chakras. Each chakra vibrates to a particular color. Energetically, we are color. We are vibrational light beings. We fully make a response to color because we are color, and using color in our lives can have a profound affect on our feelings and well being. Many people are unaware of the healing powers in color vibration.
